FAA PART 107 LICENSE

The FAA licensing for sUAS Commercial Drone Pilots is the called the Part 107 Remote Pilot License. To be able to fly a drone as a business or for payment, the pilot must have a Part 107 License. To obtain the Part 107, the process is essentially a study course followed by an exam administered by the FAA testing centers.  The test includes items such as aerodynamics, safety protocol, airspace requirements, and other laws and regulations.  Every member of our team has the Part 107 License and beyond.

FLIGHT TRAINING AND BEYOND

We maintain a strict flight training protocol including a flight demonstration requirement at hire, as well as ongoing training. Our team hosts instructors multiple times per year to expand our knowledge on flight maneuvers, laws, photography, videography, editing, etc.  We also host a monthly Team Training Day to ensure that all members of the team are keeping proficient and sharing expertise.  When possible, we are sending team mates to conferences or official courses to expand certification training. For example, we are sending (2) pilots to FLIR for training in Thermal Imaging Drones later this year!!

TRAINING PROVIDERS AND INSTRUCTION

One of the ongoing projects we are involved with is to teach and train new drone pilots. We have worked with dozens of Commercial Drone Pilots as well as Remote Pilots for Search and Rescue Missions.  We host private training courses multiple times per year and help new pilots understand the capabilities and limitations of the drone, the camera, and the technology. This is a project that we take very seriously and honored to present. It is very gratifying to see life saving personnel using drones to make their missions successful.
