EQUIPMENT

THE EQUIPMENT WE USE

DRONES

We choose DJI drones for their durability, design, and reliability. DJI is global leader in drone technology with the largest selection of drones as well as third party compatibility.

Our essential minimum drone is the DJI Phantom 4 Pro. This model has proven to be an absolute workhorse with its robust design, high quality 4k capable 20 mega-pixel camera with 3 axis gimbal, longer battery life, and overall stability.

We do also utilize the DJI Mavic 2 Pro 2 when we need a smaller form factor.

CAMERAS

Our team enjoys a robust selection of full frame and crop sensor cameras with prime, telephoto, wide angle, and macro lenses. We also have filters including ND Filters, Polarizers, and UV Filters to ensure precise exposure control.

Cameras include Canon 80D, 90D, 1DX and R Model. Sony Cameras include A6300, A6400 and the A7R iii Models.  All have both photo and video capabilities.

Lenses include native brands as well as Tokina, Rokinon, and Sigma. Focal Lengths as wide as 10mm.

EDITING SOFTWARE

Editing is truly an art and each artist must pick their own paintbrush. Each member of our team has a full suite access to their preferred editing suite.

For photography, we utilize Photoshop and Light Room with the latest version available to our team from any workstation.

For videography, we utilize Vegas Pro 16 or Adobe Premiere Pro. Either software is fully capable of color grading, effects, title production, animations,  and more.

ACCESSORIES

Our team is also equipped with accessories such as lighting equipment, audio equipment, gimbals, fluid head tripods and monopods. Having quality gear such as ours aids in producing quality footage such as highly stable video. Accessories are a part of the toolkit.

Mapping

Our choice for 2D and 3D Mapping technology is mixed between Drone Deploy and Pix 4D. Both are very useful and powerful tools. We found that each has certain features that work better for specific tasks and we use them both regularly.  We will apply the best choice based on the project needs to ensure the highest quality.

LAANC AUTHORIZATION

Many projects are located in restricted airspace which requires authorization from the FAA to legally conduct drone missions. Airspace and Regulations are what separate professionals from hobbyists.  Knowing airspaces, NOTAM’s TFR’s are a part of our daily routine. Mistakes are penalized heavily with fines and fee’s.
